Tattoo Thursday. Am I crazy??

Nahh...People get tats everyday, and now I'm adding myself to that population of people.  I've wanted one for only a few years, and nothing tribal or "stupid", just something small and girly.  I finally found something I wanted.  It's this:

I think it's soooo adorable.  I wanted to use my own lipstick print, but it just looked too messy for my perfectionist taste.  :-)  Time of excitement is 7:15 central time, so think of me.  I'm hiring a friend to take photos for me...be on the lookout for those.

How's everyone's week?  Only two more work/school days for most of y'all.  I'm headed home Saturday for an entire week!  My last HURAH here will be a Korean BBQ courtesy of my friend Sara. :-)

I've worked out twice this week which is total SHITTY for me, but I'm happy and feel tons better.  Once everything settles down and I have no more BBQ's or going-away events to attend I'll be back on it full force.  Can't wait!!

All I wanna do is........and take your money

I'm in the middle of Slumdog Millionaire at home and already I'm very interested. It's held my attention and I'm not dissapointed. :-)

Just a quick update for you ladies: Yesterday was Monday. The day before that was Sunday. The day before THAT was Saturday. Saturday was my moving out day. It wasn’t too bad in hindsight. It was just me and Mom moving me out, since Dad decided to stay home. Chump. Haha. There were a few nasty words from my mouth, and hers, but mostly mine. I just chalk it up to stress. LOL.

I’m now in limbo, staying with a girl from work. Sleeping on an air mattress. My back is yelling at me, but only 4 more nights. Cannot wait to be home for a week.

I worked out yesterday—first time in about a week and a half and my body knew it. I ran/walked for 30 minutes on the treadmill and then stretched out my upper back and neck. Much needed. I think I’ll do that for the rest of this week. I carry all of my stress in that area. Do you guys as well? Where do y’all carry stress?

A question I have is HOW in the hell does one spend $100 at Target?? LOL! I didn’t even buy that much food. Maybe it was the cute outfit I found. Oops. My shopping addiction is outrageous….

Happy Tuesday!

Do NOT take workout/food advice from me for awhile...

Why? I've been living off of bad for you stuff from a can. *sigh* LOL. I'm OK with it, though. This big move has me so busy I can't make my 7,405 meals for the day! :-) I've been enjoying this especially:

(Hee hee)

Nothing new on the move front...no exciting news. Lots of tears already. I'm going to miss a few people so much, especially my parents, grandparents and a boy.

On the shopping front....I've had tons of extra money since I haven't had to pay full rent this month. So, naturally I shopped. A few things I picked up:

Ann Taylor Dress

MAC Creme de Nude lipstick

MAC Flirt 'N Tease blush

That's not all, but It takes too long to load the pictures and, well, I'm hungry :-) I promise once things slow down in my life I'll be consistent with my workouts and diet and blog so much you're sick of me. Take care!

Where, oh where has Jenny been?

Hey ladies! Sorry for the lack of posts. I've been at home with two sick grandparents. My grandad is looking better to me, and hopefully has more fulfilling years with us. I pray he does. My other grandmother was put in the hospital last Tuesday with heart issues and blood in her stool (eat fiber my friends! I got made fun of so much for eating fiber tablets, but my colon is healthy!! haha), but is stable and they have her on so much medication--sending her home. I don't know if I like that just yet, but I'm no doctor, I guess. :-/

Today will be a few last minute errands, a carpet cleaning and some MUCH needed relaxation. I have bags under my eyes like you wouldn't believe! LOL. Busy weekend at home. Busy and stressful, but seeing my friends and family was fantastic.

Again, sorry for being MIA. I feel way out of the loop with all of y'alls blogs.

Happy (day late) birthday, Chi Omega!

I felt the urge to wish my sorority a Happy Birthday! :-) It was yesterday, April 5.

Chi Omega, the best fraternal organization for women in the world. Of course I'm completely bias because I am an alumna. April 5 is the organization's Eleusain or birthday. It was founded on the campus of the University or Arkansas, Fayettville in 1895 by four very special women. Along with Dr. Charles Richardson (a Kappa Sigma fraternity man who helped to organize Chi Omega) Ina Mae Boles, Alice Carey Simonds, Jean Vincenheller and Jobelle Holcombe.

(Can you find me?? :-))

I was a member of Iota Kappa chapter in college. I joined my freshman year and it was probably the most wonderful thing I could have done for myself. I'm so PROUD to be a Chi Omega and Greek. Sometimes the Greek system isn't what most people think it to be. it was a wonderful time and gave me great opportunities. I love being out and about and someone coming up to me and doing out "secret" hello. It's just a bond you can't just HAVE with everyone.

I feel that it's the things that are public such as our values of friendship, career development, community service, scholarship, campus activities, and high standards of personnel are the most important when explaining what makes us different and why Chi Omega is so special to members. A very special writing called the Chi Omega symphony was written by Ethel Switzer Howard on the night of her initiation. Its an absolutley beautiful work of art. This is what all Chi Omegas strive to be and live everyday.
I give you The Chi Omega Symphony:

Tis all! Happy Birthday Chi Omega!!! :-)

Migraine, migraine go away...

Yikes...migraine from hell this morning. Enough said. Not to mention this weather has my sinuses in a funk. Ow!

Did anyone catch the Country Music Awards? I'm not that big into country enough to watch it, but I saw Keith urban...how on EARTH....did I NOT see how gorgeous this man was before tonight. geez. Had me open-mouthed drooling on my couch. (So maybe the earring can be chucked, but otherwise...)

Moving on...if you all do as much online shopping as I do, please go to ebates.com and check out that program, if you haven't done so already! Man, I can;t believe I just found out about it. Getting PAID to shop? That's what I like to hear! I especially love ebay deals, and everytime you shop there, click through ebates and you get 3% money BACK on the item you purchased. pretty cool huh? I already made $5.41. Woo!!

heheh, I'm laughing this morning because the Queen told me I should post what I did manage to shove into my suitcases. I thought about doing just that to show you guys, for kicks, but I wouldn't know where to start. Once again, however, I did manage to dwindle it down and consolidate some more. Now my duffle bag is empty, but I still have more to freaking pack! GEEZ!!!!!!! HAHA!!

When I was trying to drift off to leep last night I was freaking out about how I was going to cook my lunches and meals when I move away. It's the fear of the unknown really. I have no idea what I'll have access to for the first two months, and what if I don't have any sort of STOVE?! I know I'll have a microwave and mini fridge, but I need a stove! That's where I cook egg whites and fish and chicken...ughkjgsdkjgsd. Can you cook egg whites in the microwave? *sigh* I'm stressing. LOL About my food. Reminds me of this body building show I was watching last night, and this woman was telling the story of how she flew to her friend's wedding with 101 chicken breats in her bags for her meals...she was in training for a figure show. She went on to say normal people would think she was nuts.....I knew exactly what she meant....

Stress, stress go away....

And so are the woes of packing...

I've never, ever had to live out of a suitcase for 6 months, and while it's not a long time...it does make for an interesting packing situation. I decided to attack my closet this weekend, separating my clothes and shoes for either storage or "to take". *sigh* I swear it was hard to part with everything!! I finally managed to dwindle my "flea market" down to one big suitcase, one small suitcase and a duffle bag of clothing. Hey...I'm proud!! I even went back four times and took out stuff after the fact. Here's a nice photo of my progress (and yes, I promise they all zip closed. LOL)

I had a nice 2 hour nap today with Brady. We love our naps :-) Other than that a very lazy Sunday. 14 days until Move Out Day. 21 days until I get to go home for an entire week!! Haven't had that in so long, I can't even remember. I have lots of people to see ;-) Including an unrequited-sorta love. I swear I think he's the one I'm supposed to marry. Have thought that for 3 years now. Things just aren't right, right now. It sucks.

What'd you guys do today? Ready for Monday? :-)

Saturday Update

I've been horrible about posting. Guess I've had moving, packing, etc on my mind. I missed Body Pump class Thursday night (weather sucked that night. Was stormy and rainy. gross.) and this morning because I NEEDED to sleep in. Feels good!

No updates on the workouts or diet. With the move coming up I haven't been too strict on myself. I know there will be farewell dinners and get-together's and frankly, I really don't need to worry about calories going straight to my hips and just enjoy it all.

I realized last night as I sipped my Pinot Noir, that this was the last weekend in my apartment. Next weekend I'm going home for the weekend, see a few friends, the weekend after moving out and moving IN with a gal from work and finally, the weekend after that I'm taking my ass home sweet home for a whole week! Good times are to be had I'm sure. A lot of the time will be spent seeing my grandfather. He's not doing so well. Had cancer removed from his arm that he let sit there for YEARS....he's lost so much weight, and I haven't seen him, and I hate seeing my family hurting. He was recently released from the hospital last week and is home, but still has pain from what I understand. I hate talking about it, so let's move on. Just wanted to update.

I love to shop, like most normal women, and I always look at Anthropologie's earrings and jewelry wishing I had them. And I will put down some dolla dolla bills for LOTS of things and can justify buying most anything, but I just cannot justify paying $130 for these:
or those......*sigh* haha They are so cute though.

AND these L.A.M.B shoes. I think they are totally cute, but some would disagree, I know :-)

I need to get some breakfast so my stomach will quit yelling at me. Probably put on Season 1 of Dexter and finish it up. I'm loving that show! New fan, right here.

P.S. I think Brady has cabin fever this morning. LOL
