Protein Shake and Avocado for dinner

I need groceries, but haven't felt motivated one bit to drag my ass to the store. I'll do it this weekend. Dinner tonight will be a broiled AVoado with Melted Cheese and Hot Sauce (low carb, anyway.) and a Cookies n Cream protein shake.

This week has been hell already. (I'm about to talk about monthly womanly matters, so to the few dudes who read my blog, you may wanna skip along to the bottom...) TMI, most likely, but I can count on ONE hand the number of times I've actually had cramps due to my monthly "friend"- yeah. It's a blessing/perk, but not so fast!! I do, however, get the WORST cravings, restlessness, mood swings and lower back aches the week before. Weird. This week has been BLAH and all I've wanted was a damn BIG, huge honking Reese's Cup. Like, overgrown, genetically engineered Reese's. I did not give it.

Actually, I'm down 2 inches and 4 pounds since I started busting my booty two weeks ago- I love being back in a routine workout schedule, but this weak the fatigue has just caught up with me. *sigh* Also, do you understand how HARD it is to say NO to wine and booze and the like? Very hard. I love my wine. But I love the way my clothes fit when I'm fitter even more, so, there you have it....What I'm trying to say is that I've pretty much been a hermit for the past couple weeks...

I went to the movies last Friday and other than that I've worked out and proceeded to sit my ass on the couch watching the new movie channels. My "household/apartment" got DirecTV, so we have an abundance of movie channels...you haven't got a chance of peeling me off the couch once I get into watching a flick. Nope.

I feel like I owe you all a crap load of pictures from the kick-ass city I now live in, but I don't have any. That's cool...I have at least a year to do all the MUST do stuff. I need to stop worrying so much about trying to fit everything in all within a month (Which is now about how long I've been living in Charleston).

My wonderful friend from my D.C. days, Courtney, is coming for a visit in two weekends! I can't wait to drag her crazy ass to all the awesome places I haven't tried because I'm pretty much always by myself! THEN my BFF, Marion, will be here in September.

I sure do miss my crazy, funny, goofy friends :( I wish I could pluck up all my friends and family and move them here.

This post in random...and I'm out. Cheers! Hope everyone's week is going smoooooth!

Congrats on the pounds loss! I know what you mean about giving up some things you love (at least in moderation) to be more fit! For me it's dessert :)

I just had a baby and have also been making better food choices(I hate the word dieting). Anyways, I really believe that 1-2 glasses of red wine a night is just fine. Stick to dry wines (they have less carbs), cab sauvignon or pinot noirs. ;)

Congrats on the pounds lost! I'm really good some weeks, and others (like this week), not so good. I did great workouts Monday and yesterday, and came home from work with every intention of working out...and yet...here I sit...on the couch...unmotivated to even get up to fix dinner. :( Did I mention I'm craaaaaaaving a cold glass of wine. Sigh.

We need to be workout buddies - what workouts do you do? Let me know if you ever want to meet up for a run/walk of the bridge or maybe you can come bring your insanity DVD over and introduce me to it - I've never tried it! I just got Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred in the mail and I'm going to try that and I think I'm going to start Bodyrock.tv - especially since it's FREE! :)

Ok, random comment for your random post. I'm out. Cheers!

@Safire and Danielle- You ladies are right! Everything in moderation, and I'm good about that usually, but sometimes I like to be "strict" on myself for a month or so. #1. It shows me just how strong I can be (haha) and #2. When I do have that wine, it's 1,000 X more delicious!

Congratulations on the work loss Jenny, I know it must have took a whole lot of effort and I'm pretty proud. I didn't skip through the lady problems bit although I kind of wished I had, I am so glad I don't have to deal with that kind of thing haha :P

Good for you for not caving! I get the same weird cravings during my time. Last night I didn't do so well and had a banana milkshake and a bag of Reese's Pieces. I really need to get my butt back on track. Keep up the amazing work!!!
