Brady and Chiva. Brady is 4 and Chiva is nearly 2 and they are my world. They are the sweetest, funniest Chi's ever ever and mean more to me than anything.
Chiva (girl) left and Brady (boy) right.
Brady has had issues the past year or so with blood in his urine, caused by bladder stones. He had surgery to remove these stones last August and has been doing well.
Unfortunately, his urine PH was still too high after follow up tests- and the vet was afraid there was a deeper issue at hand. Turns out he was right. Brady has a liver problem. What kind of liver problem? No one's sure. The vet says there's so much gray area in Brady's case and the issue can't be pinpointed.
Brady is now being referred to a doctor is Auburn, Ala. where they can do extensive ultra-sound or MRIs. I'm so scared and so worried. These two are like my children and are part of my family. For anyone who has dogs they love with all their heart and soul, you know exactly what I mean.
I don't know, #1, where I'm going to get the money for all of these additional tests and possible surgery, but I'm going to get it. Even if I have to sell every single stitch of clothing, furniture, house, car...I don't care. He's only 4 and deserves a chance to live a healthy, full life.
The saddest part? He still acts normal. I should be thankful for this, and I truly am, but it also scares me. I just wish I knew the liver issue and how to fix it. Right NOW. I'm so impatient.
Please, all, if you pray, pray for my sweet baby. Or send positive thoughts. Or just help out a local animal shelter or something kind. I'm emotionally drained and it'll only get worse for a little while.
Thanks, y'all :)
