Re-do the bedroom!

So, I finally have found time to think of what I want to do to my front bedroom- "the office". Keep in mind when looking at the colors and ideas that I am single, no kids, 26 and love all things girly and frilly and chic.

First things first- Wall color. I am FIRM believer that wall color is a MUST, even if it's a neutral shell beige- slap some color on those walls ladies! It brightens up the space and brings everything together.

I, however, am so torn about what color to go with in the bedroom. First, I wanted a mid-tone purplish-lavender (Think ALMOST like The Friends show apartment). I know it can be childish, but I LOVE color!! Color is my friend and makes me happy. So something like this for the wall was what I was thinking:

I wanted to get this dark wood colored bookcase (to make the purple seem LESS little girl):

AND these frilly babies are a MUST no matter which color I choose! They tie back and look so CHIC!:

or should I go with a Tiffany colored blue wall. I know it may be a bit much, but not if it's not a BRIGHT blue:

I'm really loving the pink, browns and blues in this scheme. The blue on the wall seems kinda dull to me though. Thoughts?

What a cute laundry room!! This blue is a little too bright for the bedroom I think...

or is it? This color looks nice to me.... With those white ruffly curtains? *sigh*
What do you all think?

Hi! I was just going back through some of my old posts and saw that you posted on a long time ago about my wedding and you asked where it was? I'm so sorry I never got back to you (at least I don't think I did?) But if I did just ignore this.

I live in Memphis and got married downtown at a place called the Cadre Building. It is GORGEOUS!!! =)

My room is an ice blue right now and I LOVE IT. I think you would be really happy with the Tiffany blue, it's gorgeous and so fun!!

I have been thinking a lot about how I want to decorate our new house so this was way fun to look at. I love blue for the bedroom. I think that's what we are going with. They say it should be soothing and relaxing so that your room can be your oasis for rest.

hey girl!! just wanted to reply to your comment about cardio! if you are huffing and puffing, then YES it is a good choice of cardio! Anything that gets your heart rate up is a good choice. I wasn't trying to say elliptical was a bad source of cardio by any means...i just do stupid insane amounts of cardio and am very conditioned, so it takes a lot of work for me to work up a sweat on the elliptical. i can still definitely do it, but i prefer other forms. definitely keep ellipticizing!! :):)

I like the blue and brown theme look. I think you could do a lot with that color and it won't be too girly when a guy comes by. :)

Where did you find these room pics? I am trying to find ideas for paint color in our living room and I am stumped. We have brown and tan couches but I don't want to be super boring and just go with tan on the walls!

I LOVE your style and am feeling the blues! Although, i've never been a fan of purple but WOW - this is an adorable room!
