Will I have a job Monday, Congress?

Most of you probably have heard by now, unless you're just a moron and don't care about current events, that Congress can't get its head out of its ass and pass this budget.

This affects me directly. I'm a federal employee, and yes, I do work. If they don't pass this budget, I will NOT be working. And will NOT be getting paid and may or may NOT get paid retroactively. The Soldiers who FIGHT for US everyday, whom I support by doing MY job, won't get paid. What a crock.

If I'm being honest, I can honestly say that I'll be OK if the furlough lasts a week. I can manage those funds. I have a back-up. Some people....do NOT. And that makes me sad. I'm more worried ofr others than myself at this point. Longer than a week? I'm basically screwed.

I'm not going to complain about it and rub it in the dirt, but it's important to mention- from someone who is experiencing this directly.

I'm starting to see and hear ignorance from people who think this doesn't affect them- telling all us who will be out of a job, for who knows how long, to stop complaining and go get another job......WOW. Thanks! That idea never really crossed my mind you piece of crap, so thanks for the advice.

If you think a government shutdown won't affect you, even indirectly 23 times removed, you're a COMPLETE Moron. At the very least you should care because this your country. Our country is going to go to shit if people keep brushing off stuff such as this. That is all.

Jenny's First Skydive

I survived...I'm alive!!

All I can really say is you have to skydive at least once in your life. You may not like it, you may love it, but you'll never know until you go.

I was excited right up until I was sitting on the plane. When I had to crawl into the door of the plane and jump I was more nervous....then when I was pushed out with my tandem instructor, and was falling...I thought I was a goner. LOL Up in the air, while free falling it's hard to breathe, it's cold and your face is contorted in ways I never thought possible. But I loved every second of it and would jump again right now if I could. I hope you all can see this video. I haven't posted it to YouTube yet, so I'm hoping the video works.

If not, let me know in the comment.
