SKYDIVING!! Plus, two weeks with Perricone's Cold Plasma....

This weekend is going to be EPIC.

Think of me and send positive thoughts my way at 1:30 Eastern Time, as I'll be jumping from an airplane on my first Skydiving Tandem! I'm SO freaking excited and want to jump AGAIN...and haven't even jumped ONCE yet. lol. That's how much I'm looking forward to this.

The lead singers of Better Than Ezra (my fave) and Collective Soul are putting on an acoustic concert in Atlanta this weekend, too! I actually shrieked when I got the e-mail two days ago. Seeing as how I'm skydiving in ATL already, this just put icing on the cake. Amazing. Simply.

Now, on to my beauty product review.

To be honest with all of you, when I shell out $90 bucks for a moisturizing anti-aging cream (Dior's Capture Totale), I usually don't even use it on the regular. I use it, sure, but not daily as I should to see ANY sort of results that the product claims to give.

I recently was sent Perricone's Cold Plasma Cream to try out, and also one to giveaway to my readers (Congrats, again, Kel!). I've used it every single day at least once a day for the past two weeks or so. The verdict is in.....
I. Love. It!

DISCLAIMER: I was given this product, but not asked to review it after I used it. Just to make that clear. I'm doing this because I wanna!

The product claims to tighten and lift, and smooth wrinkles. Besides that it says it improves the appearance and TEXTURE and dark spots on the skin. My skin wasn't horrid to begin with, but I can definitely see an improvement in the tone and texture of the skin on my face! So much so that I want to use it as often as I can. I find excuses to put more on. HAHA! I promise I don't slather it on, but I really do love this product.

Everyone is different, so I'm not saying you'd have the same results, but it's worth a try- especially if you have redness, blotchy skin or any uneven skin tone. I'd even venture to say I might shell out $150 once I run out of this stuff.

Has anyone ever tried Perricone's Cold Plasma?
What anti-aging, moisturizer do you use, if any?

When I talk to you all next I will be a skydiving virgin no longer. Woop!!

CrowdTap- VERY cool, had to share

So, via Mrs. MFC, I was introduced to CrowdTap. I had no clue what the website was by the name alone. After checking it out, it's basically a cool place to get cash rewards and free stuff. WHO doesn't like free stuff? Srrsly?!

Brief description from the site itself:

"Crowdtap is a new site that lets you ideate, engage and promote with leading brands, entertainment properties, non-profits and startups. Not only is it fun and easy to use but you earn cash for gift cards and charity for your participation. In fact, you earn your first dollar just for signing up."
I have been earning points for answering quick little questions, an opportunity to answer questions for free stuff and who knows what else will come up!

I signed up through Mrs. MFC, which gave her some credits, so if you sign up please sign up via this link :) I'd appreciate it.

Let me know what you think about it after perusing for awhile!

Here I am with an Outfit Of The Day!

......Actually, it was an outfit from LAST Saturday when I attended my friend's lingerie shower. Better late than never. For those of you who are my privileged (HA) friend on Facebook, you've already seen these photos I'm sure...

Dress: Anthropologie (A few seasons old. Via e-bay) $35
Cardigan: Khols
(I just didn't have the heart to drop out my bestest friend, Marion. So here she is in all her glory. Her dress is from target. Her Solo cup is from Publix.)

Me and my very pregnant cousin. I'm so creepily adorable, right?! Right.

I woke up this morning with one clogged nostril. I'll never understand why it decides to do that. One clogged, the other struggling to obtain air for my lungs on its own. *sigh* So, yeah, I've been snotty on one side all day long. I hope it quickly subsides because this weekend is supposed to be my first big, HUGE skydiving adventure!!!

I feel like I have so much to do. It's not even big stuff. For example? I need to stock up on some vitamins. Like, I feel the urge to go out and buy a bunch of shit to take. I have no idea why. God, I'm weird.

So, I just added a new commenting feature to my blog from Disqus. Apparently I signed up long ago, but never added it to my blog. Should make commenting and me replying to your comments much easier. WOO HOO! So start commenting so I can test it out. Please and thank you.

Here's hoping you all have a fantastic week...if I don't talk to you before it ends...one of my goals this week is to blog more than once.

Adios!

Top skin care products: Perricone's Cold Plasma and GIVEAWAY

Blah! I meant to post this last week, but got busy and forgot.

Recently I was sent a full sized jar of Perricone's Cold Plasma cream to try. I was thrilled! This stuff retails for $150 and the past few years I've been all about some anti-aging products...I can see 30 right over that thar hill. EEK. I've only used the stuff for about a week. The texture is different from the Dior Capture Totale I've been using. It's a bit heavier, so I've only been using it for nighttime.

Perricone has been reviewed as having some of the top skin care products in the biz. Go to their website and check out all of their products. I've never tried anything by Perricone, but have always seen their products at the store. Their vitamin c ester products seems quite interesting and I've heard good things about it. Do any of you use vitamin ester c products? By ANY brand? What do you think?

Now, the good part.........One of you blog readers could win a FREE Perricone product worth up to $150! To wnter the giveaway simply do the following:

1. Go to their website and pick which product you'd like to try ($150 or under) and let me know in your comment entry!

2. Leave your e-mail address in the comment as well, so I can contact you if you win.

That's it! Contest will run until next Wednesday, March 23rd!

Good luck!

I'm sleepy.

Do any of you get bummed out on Sundays? Man, I do. I’m sure it has to do with the fact that the next day begins another week of work, but I also just feel so blah and “lonely.” I was just telling someone I work with that I rarely ever feel negatively about being single- However, on Sundays, when all I’d really like to do is cuddle in bed or watch a movie with someone, I get VERY blah! Plus, we lost an hour this weekend. That’s never fun for my sleep-loving ass.

HAPPY MONDAY!!! Haha

I’m a bad blogger. I don’t care. I’m so busy. Everyone and their mamas have a birthday in March. Seriously. Three of my closest friend’s birthday’s are today and tomorrow. My Mom’s was last week. There are three people in my office whose birthday’s are in March. Two of my close friends have birthdays the last few weeks in March. March Madness, INDEED!

This past Saturday one of my said friends, who has a birthday tomorrow, had a wedding shower with her soon to be husband. And so it begins. Wedding season. The same friend has a lingerie shower Saturday, a bachelorette party in NOLA (YES! Love NOLA) April 22nd and her wedding is May 7. I always thought it’d be awesome to be a wedding planner but after only partially helping organize two friends wedding stuff- I. Will. Pass.

My BFF Marion is coming down Thursday for the shower this weekend- Let St. Patrick’s Day Shenanigans ensue! Nothing too crazy since I have work the next day, but I so love random holidays in the middle of the week. Especially when you get to drink green beer. Who doesn’t love green beer!?!

Speaking of Marion, I need to share this video I threw together for her birthday (Tomorrow as well!). I hope you all can appreciate a witty, sarcastic sense of humor since this video is full of it. She loved it! We’re a fun couple of gals if you can’t tell from this production ;) Enjoy.

Not So Slacker Friday: High Intensity Interval Training

HELLOOO fitness loving ladies! End of the week! Who's excited? This girl- and I'm sure many of you are, too!

I woke up this morning withe the plan to take my measurements. Instead all I had time for was a weigh-in. I was very pleased with the 3 pounds I've shed this week alone! I love when busting my ass pays off.

I've gotten into the groove of Bob Harper's Strength DVD and love it even more than I originally did. It seriously kicks my butt and I can feel it in my arms, back and booty the next day. I planned on doing it three times this week, but have only managed once so far. It's tough- I'm telling ya.

My cardio this week has been high intensity intervals on the treadmill to really burn those calories and get my heart rate up- Guess it worked! High Intensity Interval Training is cardio performed at such an intense level that your body will spend the rest of the day expending energy to recover from the ass-kicking you gave it.

This means that you will be burning up to nine times more fat while sitting on the couch later that night than you would have if you'd spent an hour on the treadmill at a moderate pace. You have get out of that comfort zone you're used to for this to work.

For reference: 6.5 mph, for me, is my "fast" run. 5.0 mph is my jog and 4.0-4.4 mph is my fast walking. It'll be different for everyone and I really recommend high intensity intervals. I'm no expert, just a lover of the HIIT. You can read more about it here.

Weekly Workouts:

Monday, February 28- 30 minutes of High Intensity Interval on treadmill
Tuesday, March 1- Bob Harper's Super Strength DVD (66 minutes)
Wednesday, March 2- 40 minutes of High Intensity Intervals on treadmill
Thursday, March 3- 37 minutes of High Intensity Intervals on Treadmill
Friday, March 4- {Perhaps a rest day, perhaps not}
Saturday, March 5- Bob Harper's Super Strength DVD (66 minutes)
Sunday, March 6- HIIT

I feel like Charlie Sheen!!! Oh, and Spicy Thai Chicken...

Apparently, according to his 20/20 interview tonight, "Crazo Sheen" claims he's always had bouts of insomnia his whole life...I feel your pain, Crazy. These past few nights have been horrible sleeping nights for me- Usually I'm relaxed, ready for bed and sleep happily until my alarm goes off. The craziest thing is although I'm sleepy during the day I've had enough energy to sustain my workouts after work...

Wow. I haven't composed a post of substance (not that will be one) in so long. I truly wish I had more I'd like to talk about, ladies, but I've just hit a big blogging bump in the road. : ) You understand.

The Lilly Pulitzer Anders Dress in Booty Caw Caw print made it safely into my grubby hands last weekend- It's gorgeous! Even more gorgeous in person! So happy I spent the money (SALE!). It'll be a wonderful Spring/Summer dress! I promise to post photos the very first time I wear it!

Speaking of Spring inventory- Anthropologie has been less than orgasmic in THAT department. Hell, its been that way for months for me with them...I've stuck to my New Year's Resolution of only buying ONE item per month from them. I think I may have bought one item since 2011 started.

My wallet is slightly thicker ;)

{What are your current Spring Fashion obsessions?} Please share- I'd love to see and steal all of your ideas. LOL. Kidding.

Lately I've been contacted to host several giveaways on my blog- as as much as I don't want my blog to be nothing BUT giveaways.....uhm...hey...it's free stuff for you people. Enjoy it!

Before I leave for what is sure to be another few days hiatus from me- I wanted to share an off-THE-chain clean eating recipe I made last night. Holy crap, it was delicious! I recommend it 100%! Spicy Thai Chicken with Mango Citrus Salsa

P.S. Bob Harper kicked my ASS tonight. God, I love that man and the way my arms and butt feel the next day...
