Ebay rots my mind

E-Bay Love. *sigh*

I hope this blog entry doesn't come across as bragging or anything- just thought I'd share my long-lasting obsession with e-bay with all of my ladies. I'd definitely say I shop on e-bay more than ANY other online store- because, well, you can get ANY and everything from there! Especially Anthropologie items that have gone out of stock. Love when I find a piece that I missed out on.

So, here's my recent purchases courtesy of the online superstore:

1. Dreamcatcher by Secret Garden CD- So...this was a verrryyy random purchase, but I just had to have this CD. I heard a song by them during the women's figure skating competition last week. I was in bed, drifitng to sleep, dreaming of treadmills and ellipticals, and heard this song from my TV (I sleep with my TV on, yes.). It was relaxing and calming, and I just knew I had to find out who played it. Well, it's by a group called Secret Garden. They're from another country. Look them up- listen to the song titled "Secret Garden". Tell me if it's not the most relaxing thing ever....

2. Bath & Body Works Caribbean Salsa Wallflower Refill- I love these wallflower refills from B&B Works. I haven't tried this scent, so I wanted to be adventerous and go for it! Sweet Pea is my FAVORITE!

3. LUSH Cosmetics Chox Away Soap- Gawd. Someone shoulda stopped me from buying this. Like I NEED another Lush soap. I can't even get through the ones i do have. Ah well.

4. Anthropologie Frills & Dollops Floral Blouse- Love the frilly collar!
5. Aspen Bay Capri Blue VOLCANO Candle - This can be smelled at Anthropologie locations all over the world! I've wanted this candle for years, and finally bought the damn thing. It smells like HEAVEN.

6. Anthropologie Twilit Skirt- I'm really hoping this looks as cute on me as it does on other Anthroholic bloggers. I love the metallic threading and ruffled pocket detailing.

7. Anthropologie Maeve Crashing Waves Dress- I kept seeing this dress on ebay. I don't remember when it was in stores, but I'm guessing two years ago. It's very cute, and even cuter on. Great deal I got! First photo courtesy of Roxy from her blog Effortless Anthropologie. Look at how Anthro styled it (second picture). I was sold after seeing that!

So, do any of you do any shopping on E-bay?

That's all. Hope this gives you ideas or makes you want to shop on E-bay. if you DO, don't forget to sign up for E-bates. You can make money while shopping! AND not just at E-bay- but at hundreds of other popular stores (read: J. Crew, Sephora, Forever, Anthro, etc. etc. etc.). If you shop online as much as I do, take advantage of this- you get a certain percentage of cash BACK to you when you spend money at online stores....oh, just go read and sign up. It's free.

Workouts: What I did This Week & some Tats!

Kelly Brook

Amber Elizabeth- Oxygen magazine
I think if I could have any body, I'd choose one of the two above. Kelly or Amber. I love curves and thankfully I was born with natural ones, but they both, in my opinion, look fit, firm, yet sexy. Yup- I'd choose one of those. Isn't it weird, though, after you lose some weight, you finally get to see the natural shape your body is? Like, those hips that were hiding or gorgeous shoulders? It's awesome.

FINALLY after much disappointment and non-motivation- I found that motivation, and stuck to a pretty decent workout schedule last week. My goal for this week is to add more cardio days and for a longer duration of time if possible.

Workouts for the Week of Feb. 22-28

Monday:
P90X Chest, Shoulders and Triceps (I was sore for days afterwards. Killed me. Can't wait to do it again!)

Tuesday: (morning) 45 minutes cardio on elliptical. Butt Blaster and Leg Press machines: reps until failure.

Wednesday: (morning) 45 minutes cardio on elliptical. (Evening) P90X Legs and Back (Didn't feel booty soreness until the next day. Ouch!)

Thursday: (evening) P90X Shoulders and Arms (easier workout out of all DVDs. Still a great strength workout)

Friday: (morning) 45 minutes cardio on elliptical/5 minutes of inclined walking on treadmill (random, yeah)

Saturday: NADA

Sunday: P90X Stretch. (After this tough week, I wanted it. AND my muscles needed it.)

I can't wait for it to be Monday so I can start my routine over again! That's weird to say, and I'm so glad I'm finally into a groove I enjoy. Even though it may be 4:30 AM cardio sessions- :-)

Here's my workout goals for THIS coming week:

Monday: Morning cardio and P90X Back and Biceps

Tuesday: Morning cardio and P90X Legs and Back

Wednesday: Morning cardio (seeing the trend?) and P90X Shoulders and Arms

Thursday: Morning cardio (this is the day I usually get worn out from the week's cardio. We'll see if I can push through it and actually get up this morning.) and P90X Ab Ripper
Friday: Morning cardio

Saturday: P90X Plymometrics OR Kenpo

Sunday: P90X Yoga

Right now my cardio sessions are 45 minutes in the morning (for time sake mostly), but I want to push myself up to an hour.

Moving on...I am by no means a tatted up lady- I have one tattoo and it's this: A lipstick kissy mark on my shoulder. I loved it then and love it now and seriously- it screams "JENNY!". (Please excuse my weird no-neck pose)

So, no, I'm not all about tattoos, but from an art perspective, some can be so beautiful. For instance, this one:

The intricacy and gorgeous roses and vines. I love it! If I didn't care about marking up half the side of my body, I'd totally get this!

I may not get that anytime soon, or ever, but I do want an owl. I collect owls and so does my Grandma. I really like this one on the wrist I found online, but more than likely I'll be getting the owl on my inner right ankle...
Here is what a tattoo artist rendered for me, from an image I found online- This is what I want eventually. An owl with headphones listening to music. TWO big FAVE things in my life: Music and owls, combined. LOVE!!! That blue shading would NOT be on the tattoo, and it'd be smaller to fit on my inner ankle/leg. It's hard to see the beautiful colors- but the music notes are PINK! HELLOOO! It also has big, blue eyes like yours truly.
Tattoos aren't for everyone, but I love small, girly ones. They're just so cute and really can show your personality and feminity if placed in the right places.

Hope you all have a wonderful week! If you're working out, workout hard and keep your spirits high! :-)

Oh raw fish- how I love you.

Did I forget to mention I had sushi for lunch Wednesday. Well, I did. And it was truly amazing. When I get on a kick for sushi, I could eat it everyday- and then go a loooong while before having it again. :-) I was very good with not eating much of the white rice, as they didn't offer brown (boo hoo). I also had a Spicy Tuna HAND ROLL instead of the maki. I've never tried it, but it's officially a fave of mine. I also had a couple pieces of Sashimi (sans ANY rice- just a big chunk of the raw stuff!) If you like sushi, what's your favorite??

Had a workout after work (no morning cardio. I was SO exhausted. Today was my cardio rest day for sure!) courtesy of P90X Shoulders and Arms. Pretty good workout if you use the right amount of weight. It feels like you're not working very hard, but up the weight and you'll be praying that the move ends. Tomorrow's workout agenda includes cardio in the morning and strength after work if I feel up for it. I may just decide to sit my ass on the couch and relax. I did so great this week! I'll post what all I did on Sunday.

You know the orange tub top from yesterday's post? I went ahead and bought it. It was definitely my favorite piece I eyeballed from Anthro and just HAD to have it ASAP! Plus it was only $78 (cheap by Anthro standards, aye? HAHA!). It really conveys ME. It says sexy with no straps, showing the collarbone, flares slightly giving it that girly babydoll-ish look and the color is vibrant and ready for some fun! L-O, L-O, L-O, L-O-V-E (stupid Ashlee Simpson song snippet there. Remember?)

That's all I got for today. Have a great Friday!!!! Then comes the weekend. Get excited. WOOP WOOP!

Look at all the bright, colorful spring things!!

Oh Anthropologie. You are SO, SO sweet to bring some happiness to my life on this boring, rainy Wednesday afternoon. I added these items into my shopping bag so quick that you could see the smoke from my mouse. Ohhhhh yeah….(I'm at work, so I don't have time to list names and prices, but go check them out on Anthropologie's website.)

I never wear headbands, but I'm pretty sure I'd wear this glitzy, gleamy, girly one!!!

I am So in love with the colors. GAH! orange and watee blue?? Puh-leeese! Money- GONE. I like that necklace specifically for the orange tube top- The model on the website has it on and it looks so gorgeous. *sigh*

I now award thee.....

Thank you, to one of MY personal favorites: Adorably Distracted for this very cute award- I love blog awards. I may not post all of the ones I receive, but it really is so cute to give and receive them.

I'm supposed to give them to 7 blogs who make me smile and then list 7 things that make me smile.

7 blogs (among many!) that make me smile:

Natalie
@ Fashion, Food and other assorted Frivolity
Kelly @ FittingBackIn
Blair @ Reasonably Swanky
Healthy, Hott housewife
Lizzy @ Fit Lizzio
Kelly @ Keeping up with Kelly & Co.
More Wine Please

(Uhm...can I keep going with these? Not fair! Elizabeth/Rosie, Britt- I see y'all! hehe)

7 things that make me smile:

1. When someone compliments me on my hard work at losing weight/gaining muscle. When people notice- it's a HUGE compliment.

2. Memories from the past- I know you're supposed to live in the present and yadda yadda, but thinking back on fun times with my friends and family make me smile more than anything.

3. Brady when he lays next to me in the morning. So very still- when he's not trying to lick my skin off. HAHA!

4. Britney Spears music. There I said it.

5. Watching "Friends" and "Dawson's Creek" dvds.

6. My friend Joy! Cracks me up 24/7.

7. The little girl in the Van De Kamps fishstick commercial, with her blonde hair in pigtails. Gosh- She's the cutest thing. "Minced? You feed me minced?" BAHA!!!!

So, as I type this blog it's 6:10 CST- That means I went to the gym at 5:00 this morning.

I don't know why, but when I'm driving along in the dark to the gym- I feel like I'm doing something cool. baha!! Something no one else is doing- ha! Isn't that the truth. I love the solitude on the road...no annoying drivers.

My workout ended up only being 30 minutes of cardio and 15 minutes doing leg work on the machines. Not bad. I could have used more cardio- but I feel better about it knowing I'm doing P90X Legs and Back tonight- althooough....my back is still screaming from yesterday...not sure how that "back" part's gonna turn out, y'all.

I'm pretty sure there was something else I had to say, but I forgot. Oh, well! Happy Tuesday!

Did any of you ladies workout yet today, OR what will you be doing later? Veronika, I know you're doing P90X right?? :-)

Heyyyy triceps? How ya feelin' back there??

Isn't that nasty? BAHAH!! Enjoy.

First- thanks to everyone for their input on the office/second bedroom color. I think I, too, have decided to go with a blue- and of course those frilly curtains! I seriously think about them all the time- They're going to look SO awesme in the blue room! I think I want a vintagy-feel to the room since lately I've been obsessed with all things shabby-chicness and vintage.

Workout: Today's workout was P90X Chest, Shoulders and triceps, and uhm....my arms are numb. HA!! WHAT a workout of ALL workouts! I hate that I can barely do the different push-up exercises. I feel like I'm not getting a good workout, but, HELLO JENNY, you ARE!! When you can hardly hold a cup up to your mouth 15 minutes into the workout- you're doing fine.

I seriously would recommend P90X to anyone wanting to sculpt muscles and gain strength. If you keep with it, you're going to see improvements in both areas.

Today was a good, happy Monday and I hope the week continues this pattern, and drives me right straight into the weekend :-)

'Tis all for now! Bright and early cardio in the morning. It's legs day!!
I HEART LEGS DAY!!!

Tomorrow is also Anthropologie SALE day! Here's hoping that none of the things in my cart go on sale YET. Not til payday, mmkay?

Holla, ladies!

Re-do the bedroom!

So, I finally have found time to think of what I want to do to my front bedroom- "the office". Keep in mind when looking at the colors and ideas that I am single, no kids, 26 and love all things girly and frilly and chic.

First things first- Wall color. I am FIRM believer that wall color is a MUST, even if it's a neutral shell beige- slap some color on those walls ladies! It brightens up the space and brings everything together.

I, however, am so torn about what color to go with in the bedroom. First, I wanted a mid-tone purplish-lavender (Think ALMOST like The Friends show apartment). I know it can be childish, but I LOVE color!! Color is my friend and makes me happy. So something like this for the wall was what I was thinking:

I wanted to get this dark wood colored bookcase (to make the purple seem LESS little girl):

AND these frilly babies are a MUST no matter which color I choose! They tie back and look so CHIC!:

or should I go with a Tiffany colored blue wall. I know it may be a bit much, but not if it's not a BRIGHT blue:

I'm really loving the pink, browns and blues in this scheme. The blue on the wall seems kinda dull to me though. Thoughts?

What a cute laundry room!! This blue is a little too bright for the bedroom I think...

or is it? This color looks nice to me.... With those white ruffly curtains? *sigh*
What do you all think?

Weekend Wrap-up

The snow melted mid-afternoon Saturday. I was really surprised it lasted as long as that! Crazy fluke. It was really beautiful though...

So, this weekend I headed to Birmingham (Alabama that is), about 3 hour drive from where I live, to see my friends Marion, Joy and Joy's hubby Adam. What a great time. I'm so glad I reconnected with Joy- we never really spoke after high school, just because we went to different places. I LOVE her. She's so funny and we have similar tastes and personalities. Here we are :-)

Daceline/Colorguard in High School- 2001 (What's up with that big ass vein in my forehead? baha!!)

Back in 2007

2010- in a hot nasty, smoky bar. BULP. haha

I'm enjoying my day off- short week!

I have nothing to say about my workouts/diet as of now because it has SUCKED the past week. Waking up early for my morning cardio tomorrow, however. I won't get down- I'm gonna get BUSY!! :-)

Bye, ladies.

It's time to over-react to snow falling!

Ok, I admit and acknowledge the fact that in the deep South, snow is a rare...VERY rare occurrence, and the last time it snowed this much was in 1993 or 1994, when I was a young and chipper 9-years-old. As some of you may know, the South got some snow dumped on them- and I'm not talking the usual suspects of Birmingham and Montgomery. It's waaaay down here.

And I'm sick of it already- and it's not even 3 inches. LOL. I want to take this time to apologize to everyone who is living through heavy snow at this time. I'm so sorry, and am thinking of you in this very difficult time. HAHAH!

OMG.

It's slushy and nasty and WET.

And this Southern girl doesn't want it anymore.

Here are some photos from earlier in the day when I was having fun.

Our snowman has a Darth Vader helmet head.

Workin' on it...

TA DA!!

I hug myself- I want you to hug me

I finally did it!

I went to bed early last night (missed Nip/Tuck. Anyone watch and can tell me what happened?) because I felt horrible. Stomach felt so upset, sinus pressure and head swimming....

I woke up at 4:15, on my OWN (no alarm clock this morning folks) and got to the gym at 5:00 a.m. I'm so proud of myself. I'm not just morning-stalking the gym anymore. haha!

I ate a couple spoonfuls of Oikos Greek Yogurt just to have SOMETHING in my stomach. It's a double-edged sword. I can't eat right after waking up, but I need something to eat before a workout or I feel sick. I was alright today. I managed to sqeak in 36 minutes of cardio on the elliptical.

45 minutes was the magic number, but about halfway through I started to get that "I'm gonna throw up" feeling in my throat. LOL! So I slowed it down. Now, I know I need to at least have a nibble of bread to get me going and sustain my cardio in the mornings.

I LOVE it already! There was 5 of us on the machines and about 15 women doing Body Pump- I felt great and not rushed. Plus these exercisers were too droopy-eyed and groggy to talk on their cell phones at 5 in the morning. Take that afternoon work-outers! ;-)

So tomorrow will be the same thing. I'm patting myself on the back right now. I'll be sure to let you know when the afternoon slump hits me this afternoon.

I leave you with a few photos of me and a friend at Versailles Palace/Gardens and The Eiffel Tower in Paris, France circa July 2008. That was a fabulous week and I want to go back- I was telling a co-worker (My valentine Sheryl!) about my trip yesterday and it made me miss it.

Look how happy I am to be frolicking around a big palace!

Marion (with her bug shades) and I. Anthro top alert!! WOOP WOOP! lol. I was so scared of losing my luggage because I had packed so many of my favorite Anthropologie tops and dresses. I'm rediculous.
One of the best moments of my life. people may say it's overrated, but this night it was raining and dreary, yet cool- and The tower never looked more beautiful lit up like that....

Target shopping and Valentine's Day!

You guys are going to think I'm crazy, but this morning, I woke up at 4:30 set on going to the gym, but instead- I just drive there. Yeah. Drove there to just see how many people actually go at 5:00 a.m. I know. I'm INSANE, but it really irritates me when lots of people are at the gym, because I either can't get a machine or there's some dummy beside me TALKING ON THE PHONE! No, no! Cell phone at the gym= NO, woman. No.

Anyway- much to my surprise NO ONE was there. Well, ok, one gal was walking in, but I think I finally have a peace of mind to actually get up and go in the mornings from now on. I'm weird, yes, but whatever works.

Also, I was reading an article about exercise, when to workout, yadda yadda, as I've done millions of times- I came across an article and basically it discussed how to get up for a morning workout.....The jist? It said to go to bed- not EARLY- but when you're tired. Pretty simple right? In my mind I guess I thought it would be best if I forced myself to get in bed by 9:00 and hope I fell asleep. Last night I went to bed when I was tired and got up pretty good! try that- tell me if that works for ya. Seems to be the key for me. *Angels sing* FINALLY!!!!
V-Day: I seriously think growing up, I took on my parents' opinions way too much. Don't get me wrong- my parents are freaking awesome, but something as simple as thinking Valentine's Day was a crock- it's that kinda thing I'm talking about.

I can still hear my Mom to this day,"Valentine's Day is so stupid- it's just another money-making gimmick holiday."

BAHA! It sure is. But it can be fun. And now I always tell her that I kind of like this holiday- because it's about LOVE. Not a relationship with a dude. Granted I've only ever had a "boy" Valentine ONCE in all my 26 years on earth...but having my girlfriends as my Valentine's? Well, nothing compares. :-)

My friend, Sheryl, from work is my Valentine (who has been so cute and fun, giving me a gift each day for 7 days. I stuck to tradition and will be giving her a big ass basket of goodies on Friday)...along with my friend Joy and her husband Adam. lol.

I'm traveling from lower Alabama to Birmingham this weekend to visit three of my really good friends, who I miss dearly. I miss them because they are TRUE friends, ones I always have a good time with and can be relaxed and myself around. Apparently there's some Pub Crawl for Mardi Gras going on ($1 Purple Haze anyone??). I'm so there. It beats sitting home, thinking of the one who got away (yeah, long, totally different subject. We won't go down that road, yo...) and watching the movie "Valentine's Day" by myself. Although I really want to see that crap! I'm a sucker!

Fashion: I want these badly for summer....

Seychelles "She's Got The Moves" sandals
They look super hot on the model- much better than just sitting there alone in this photo. Trust me.

I went to Target the other day. They had some really cute stuff! A couple plairs of shoes I thought were cute, a skirt, tops. There were a few pieces that reminded me of my beloved Anthropologie so much- but the quality looked like crap. So I passed on those. Here are the few things I would consider purchasing:

Fuschia pink sandals? Yes, please. Although I despise flats, these work well for spring and summer.
Great color, perfect for layering. Yup.

Ruffles! I love it. Empire waist flatters my body shape as well. I want this in white and the royal purple color.

Hi wedges. I love you.
I just love the ruffles. Wishing the heels weren't......that color? But I do love these. They are a knock-off of Steve Madden ones I believe.
LOST tonight!! All you LOST fans say "WHAT WHAT!" (baha)

Who's your Valentine?

Brady photo of the week and shallow bloggers

Oh, Sunday- how I wish I enjoyed you more, but instead I find myself ridden with anxiety because I gotta get up early for work the next morning (I love my sleeping in, OK!). Luckily I enjoy my job (minus the one person who always makes everything worse for everyone. Why is there ALWAYS one?).

I haven't written a "real" blog for awhile now- mostly been busy, but also because I've been a little frustrated. I had a loooong blog typed out as to why, but I erased it all- don't feel like bitching today. I'll spare you all- just because y'all are OH-so awesome bloggy friends. :-)

I will tell you it has to do with some blogs I've read the past few days, oh, and people (Read: one person) at work. Is that vague enough for ya? Muhaha!

This week marks week 1 of 6 before the friend's wedding. Must. fit. into. dress. Just so you are ALLLL aware- I took a before photo of the dress NOT zipping up, in hopes I can post that in conjunction with the after shot of the dress zipping up. Wooo hoo!

Ok, Brady isn't letting my type. He's in my lap licking my hands and that hinders my ability to type and concentrate. I think he wants to go outside. Good thing I love him.

Who do YOU look like?

One of my fellow bloggers posted about the fun game that’s been going around Facebook- you know, the one where you change your profile picture to look like a celebrity you’ve been told you look like.

I’ve decided, since I have nothing worthwhile to talk about today, that’d I’d bleed that game over into the blogging world, too! Plus, I think it’s fun!

First up: Sara Ramirez, Best known as Callie from Grey’s Anatomy.

I seriously cannot tell you how many people tell me I look like her- especially when my hair is curly. I take it as a compliment. The woman is curvy and gorgeous! Look at those cheekbones, HELLO!! It’s gotten to be such a common thing that I can usually tell when someone’s going to walk over to me and tell me that. I finish their sentence for them usually.

Second: Lindsay Lohan. Ok. Obviously, I don’t have red hair, but when Lindz had dark hair and her blue-green eyes really stood out, I can kinda see where they were getting the idea. I think our face and eye shapes are similar and our nose in a way...... In the SECOND photo, people have told me I look most like her. Haha. Weird. She's a skanky mame, but I think she looks INCREDIBLY gorgeous in this photo.

Third: I got Valerie Bertinellie the other day. She’s VERY cute, so I was pleased to hear that. Also her current body is ROCKIN'!!!

What do y'all think? Seeing any resemblance?

Who do people tell you that YOU look like? if you do a post about it, let me know!!!
