MI to the A!

Yes, I've been missing in action on the blogger site. I was so crazy busy at work this week- and got through it. I love my job, but weeks like this is where I've never been more thankful for the weekends.

Didn't workout ONCE this week. I know. Horrible.I don't even feel bad about it- for once I knew I just really couldn't, and not that I just "didn't". I thought I could finally start my two-a-days last week, but I guess I was high on something. lol.

Two-a-days this week. Not everyday, no, but I'm shooting for three times. Here's what my workout schedule goal for this week is:

Monday: PM- P90X Kenpo
Tuesday: AM- 45min cardio at the gym, PM- P90X Legs and Back
Wednesday: AM- 45min cardio, PM- P90X Chest, Shoulders, triceps
Thursday: AM- 45min cardio, PM- Back and biceps
Friday: P90X Abs
Saturday: Some form of cardio & strength (Just whatever I feel like)
Sunday: P90X Yoga

I do plan on incorporating more of the Abs DVD into my schedule at some point, but right now I'm just focusing on the fat loss.

I sat at home and did nothing this weekend- OH, well I take that back. I watched TV. To include: Miss America, Bulging Brides and some other fitness show on FLN. The Bulging Brides show was cool- They take someone who's getting married and help her fit into her dress that doesn't fit- this episode, in 6 weeks the woman lost significant inches and weight. She musta have worked her ass off (literally). I wish the show came on more often! it's a good motivator.

Speaking of weddings: It's officially 7 weeks until my friend Ashley'd wedding, and 18 weeks until my BFF Amanda's wedding (MOH right here!). Plenty of time to become svelte :-) I got this dress in the mail finally

ANdddddd..... it doesn't quite fit. Hmmm...this is the dress I want to fit into in 7 weeks. Doable? I guess we'll see. I'm not worried. For some reason I know I can do it. I just know.

This morning I went to Ulta to buy Fekkai's hair curl cream. I have wavyish hair and curl it most everyday instead of straight. It's just easier that way. Anyway...I'm a perfume whore, so naturally I wanted a new perfume. (Note: I currently have over 45 full sized bottles of perfume. I don't NEED anymore)- I kept walking these numbered perfumes (UNISEX!) by D&G. The thought of the unisex perfume didn't really interest me, but I finally decided to smell them all as I was about ready to leave. I'm so glad I did. They smell AWESOME. Well, three out of the five, for me.

This is what they all look like: Just named with a number and some French word? My picks are 1, 3 and 6. If any of you have ever smelled BCBG's Metro (which is now discontinued) number 6 could easily be a dupe for it. I have to snatch these up soon! Have any of you tried these? Like them? What's your favorite perfume?

Who's watching the Grammy's tonight?? Music is my LOVE so I am So there!! Go GAGA! lol is she up for anything? She should be. She's a freak, but oh-so talented.

Love you guys!

I want this week to end already

I'm so down in the dumps already- and Monday isn't even OVER.

The small ray of sunshine in my day? I've lost another half inch on my waist. Which is GREAT! But, why am i not losing it in other places? This pisses me off.

Anyway- do we like any of the below heels?

I hope I didn't make you cringe- what with all the peachiness and all. I have NO idea what drew me to these shoes, but I like the color for Spring. it's just....different. Do you see that color all the time? Nope. Number one's BIG ass corsage looking thing reminds me of Louboutin's Dillian Flower Pumps- and I've been obsessed ever since my girl Britney wore thme in "If U Seek Amy" video. *swoon* These are definitely shoes you'd wear with a simple black dress. Nothing over the top and loud- they say enough themselves.

Short post tonight dolls- I'm behind tonight and didn't get to my P90X Kenpo workout, even. Blasphemy! Work is going to be crazy this week- and I hate not being able to set my workout schedule in advance. It's that damn organizational freak in me- I used to think I loved spontenaeity, but if I'm being honest with myself -I despise it. I need structure.

Hope everyone had a fabulous Monday and an even better week ahead :-)

Dear P90X: I forgot how much you hurt my A** muscles

Hello lovely readers!

I must start out with my workout from yesterday afternoon-Instead of traveling to the gym I dusted off my P90X DVDs and did Plyometrics. Lemme tell ya- I'm sorry I ever doubted the DVDs before (not sure why I did). I, of course, couldn't get through all the moves, was breathing, bent over, hands on hips, but you know what? I FINISHED, and did about 90% of the moves. My knee was bothering me on some fo the higher impact moves, but got through it with modifications.

That junk is tougher, and broke me into a sweat better than ANY cardio equiptment at the gym. LOVED it! It will definitely be a weekly thing from here on out- and P90X will be incorporated into my gym workouts, as well.

Today is Friday and I like today to be my OFF day. It just doesn't feel like the start of the weekend if I workout this day- it's all mental.

Yesterday it really hit me, I need to start working out HARD. Like a Ninja.

I tried on a Bill Levkoff bridesmaids dress at the store. Yeah. I was NOT happy. BUT, I totally understand all dresses are not cut equally- which baffles me by the way. Why can't they all just do a standard cut and fit? What's the point in making all brand different. Dumb. So, anyway- I tried on a 14. A 14! That sucker had about THIS MUCH gap around my back. The woman told me based on my chest measurements I need a 22. BAHA! What? Look, I get what the size chart says, but I also have to consider these points in my determination of what size I get:

* The dress is an empire waist. The waist and hip region on a size 22 will SWALLOW my bottom half WHOLE. No way.

* The wedding is in June. That’s 5 months away. I guarantee my back/chest will shrink in that amount of time. I'm smart- "Last hired, first fired". The last area you gain weight will be the first place that you lose it- and my chest has gotten bigger only in the past few months.

* An 18 should work for me with Bill. I have a feeling it'll still need taken in. *sigh*

Does anyone use a heart rate monitor or calorie burned thingy? I need one- I want to know what I'm burning- ACCURATELY! Suggestions?

I'm craving wine. Should I partake or skip because of the diet? Oh, I just don't know.

That's all that's on my mind for today- Hope you all have a fun, safe Friday evening!

Anthro knock-off of the day

The past few days I've found two knock-offs of Anthropologie items- Of course I like Anthro's BEST, but if you're on a tight-tight budget, these look pretty darn similar, dontcha think?

Anthropologie's Bold Boutonniere Dress-Out of Stock and going for $100 + on ebay.

VS.

Modcloth's Dress-
ALSO soldout, but will likely come back in stock- $45

Whatya think? I love Anthro's colors best, but Modcloth's is a look-alike for sure! I bet it'd be a tunic on my tall ass.

Anthropologie's Floreat Ice-Capped Blouse- On sale for $60

VS.

eShakti's Scallopd Layer Blouse- $50
(Comes in ALL sizes! If you're like me, the Floreat brand from Anthro runs kinda small, especially for my boobs. I like that this top goes all the way up to a 3X!)
Naturally the colors contrast better on Anthro's top, but I think I could see myself buying eshakti's version.

Brady's Glamor shot of the week, fashion and scare tactics

I'm well aware my background doesn't match my header anymore- BUTT I just love (and collect) owls too MUCH, so I just HAD to :-)

I wanted to share with you all a very special glamor shot of Brady from about a year ago- It's still one of my favorites of him. Just look at that face, that expression, that stance! *sigh* He's a pro model.

And you know I can't really post without showing you darling fashion items I'm eyeballing. So without further ado:

Romantique Top- ModCloth.com
I just find it to be VERY classy and work appropriate. Paired with a pencil skirt and pumps. Heck yes.

Lorraine Dress- Delias.com
I haven't shopped from Delia's since I was in 8th GRADE! I'm wondering if they run small- probably because it's Juniors, so I'll upsize on this cute, comfy dress and hope it's long enough! Love the blue color, and can see a belt and cardigan and cute jewelry making this simple and cute.
Bias Ruffles Racerback- Anthropologie
Love the color, love the ruffles. Hope it doesn't make my bust look bigger. This is perfect for layering! Again with the blue color....

Michael Kors Webster Clutch
This color is to die for!!

WORKOUT: Yesterday (Wednesday) I went to the gym and got in 45 minutes of cardio and decided to do a few leg machines. I hadn't done the BUTT BLASTER in forever and a day, so naturally, I sauntered over.....Damn. It was worse than my cardio for that day! I was sweating and hurting. In a great way. I love that butt machine. USE IT! It's a great sweat machine.

Eats: My stomach has been weird the past few days. I feel nauseous and don't have an appetite for anything, except a carbonated drink to settle my stomach. It's strange- since when am I NOT hungry? This morning, instead of my usual egg whites and oatmeal I had Greek Yogurt. Yup- just a little cup of Greek Yogurt. I made my lunches for the rest of the week and my protein was fish....I threw it out. I almost threw up when I looked at it. All I can stand to stomach is chicken breast or tuna...What's up with that? Anyone have any good, main sources of protein for my meals? I have a feeling fish will be OFF the menu for awhile. And P.S. I don't like tofu.

It's rainy and nasty here today- and the thunder last night sounded like a helicopter was landing on my house. Did Brady bark? Oh...no. BUT, he'll trot downstairs on random nights and bark at nothing and scare the crap out of me. Freak. Living alone, I love it- but having a house all to myself, instead of a one-bedroom apartment is different for me. The other night I was in bed early, in a great sleep- and all of the sudden I hear two big thuds like someone was POUNDING on the front door trying to get in.

I scurried out of my bed and was breathing so heavy I thought I might pass out- called my Mom and said stuff along the lines of, 'Mom..*gasp*gasp*gasp*, I'm really scared! OMG!"- all the while I'm being "brave" and going downstairs and searching through every bathroom, pantry and closet. I made her drive 30 minutes to come to my house and take me and Brady to my parents house (BAHAH. You can laugh. I won't hate you.) Wanna know what that thud was? Right before she got here- something told me to look in my shower. As I peered behind the curtain, I saw the culprit: My entire shower caddy that hangs on the shower head had fallen, right along with my big ass bottles of shampoo and body wash. *sigh*

Needless to say, that thing is now taped up in places, so there's no chance of it ever falling again. Trashy, yes.

So anyway- nasty and rainy today. I may skip the gym and hang out inside with my P90X videos. Maybe some Legs and back? Or how about Plyometrics. We'll see.... :-)

Fat-bottomed girls you make the rockin' world go rouunddd.....

Good morning beautiful ladies :-)

Exciting news for me: I woke up at 4:40 refreshed and ready for the gym before work. Can you believe it? Went to sleep by about 10:30 and I had no issues getting up...not really. I did lay there for about 5 minutes pondering back and forth- "Should I go?", "Sleep is so good...", "Will I be ready for work in time?"- Well finally my ass popped up and I was out the door....
Helloooooooo FOG.

Good grief. Where did THIS come from?

Y'all, I swear to you, I don't know how far down the road I got, but I couldn't even see stop lights until I was right up on them- Finally I turned around and (tried) made my way back home :-( I got lost! BAHAHAH! I just kept driving right past my turn because I couldn't see it- and when I got to an intersection I knew was by my house, I turned around and went about 8 mph. I made it home, thank God. But no gym. I'll just go this afternoon and pray tomorrow morning is fogless. What the F.

VERY important question for anyone who's ever been in a wedding and worn a bridesmaids dress especially one made by Bill Levkoff): I never usually go my measurement charts when ordering a dress, because they're always wrong. They tell me I need like, I dunno, a damn 18?? That's BS. An 18 would drip off me! Do regular store bought dresses, i.e. Anthropologie or others, run differently than formally type dresses? I'm having anxiety that the size bridemaids dress I ordered won't fit. What should I do? That's 4.5 months away and by then I know I will lose some weight- but......HELP.

I'm honestly thinking of going up a size when I pay it in full- Are formal dresses hard to take in if they're, say a size or TWO too BIG? Anyone know? I need some reassurance here.

WORKOUT: Yesterday had a great 48 minutes of cardio at the gym. I went earlier than usual and LORD what a difference! It wasn't crowded and I had a great time doing what I wanted. If only I could do that everyday. I really want my own home gym. I'd work some cardio all. the. time. Going today at the same time as yesterday, too. :-)

Eats: Still good! Oh, and my waist is down another inch. THIS is awesome news.

My boobs, however, in all their 38D glory, are still big. GAWD. (muahaha. SHRINK DAMNIT!!)

Today's Loot from Anthro Sale!!!

Morning! What's a sure-fire way to start a Tuesday? Anthropologie fresh cut sale items! I knew eventually a few things on my wishlist would go on sale, and today they did. I snagged up these two things:

Stormy Sea Necklace: I've been waiting and waiting- and waited so long, that the color I originally wanted sold OUT. BUT this color will work with something! I love the bigness and shininess of it all (Original, $48, Sale, $29.95)

Long Winter's nap Chemise: I have no idea why I'm attracted to this so much- because it's comfy and cozy maybe? Winter is over here in Alabama, but I can wear the hell out of this inside the house- and next winter! (Original, $68, Sale, $39.95)Remember the Donna Morgan Chiffon Dress from Nordstrom:

It's now 60% off- Down to $54 from originally $120 or something like that! When I posted about it, it was $81! This is one time I'm so glad I held out to buy it. WOO HOO!! Sale prices make me feel accomplished. baha.

Then I swung on over to JCrew and bought The Jackie cardigan in Breeze (minty green color, basic cardigan) because it, too was on sale for $30. has been for awhile.

All in all- I'm pleased with my purchases. Now...if only my tax return will come in so I can buy those few items from Anthropologie, full price before they go out of stock. Sadly, The Longing For Yellow Dress I asked you guys about- for the wedding in March? It's SOLD OUT in my size right now. I'm hoping that by the time my cash flow comes in, it'll be back- or at least in the store 3 hours away from me. And yes, I'd drive to get it.

Hope you ladies have a fantastic Tuesday!

Current Obsessions from Anthro

I forgot to mention my current obsessions in my last post. Shame on me...Here they are, ladies!

Vanilla Bean Blouse
New arrival- and the ONLY new arrival I'd consider paying full price for. LOOK at it! How preciously adorable, with the sash, rosette and polka dots? I MUST get my hands on this ASAP! Come on tax refund! (Yes, I've done my taxes already. $8,000 is a good incentive.)

Jana Herringbone Trousers
LOVE these herribone, brown trousers! So classic and would look great with a cardigan this spring.

Field Game Cardigan
THIS beautiful, lacy thing would look so chic with those trousers! Blue and brown with lace?? Yes, PUH-LEASE!

Donna Morgan Chiffon Dress
Only $81?? This thing is going to go fast! May purchase today ;-) I love the print and the neckline and material. Especially for a Spring night party.

Parties, drinks and finger food time.....OVER

Oh thank you government job for allowing me ANOTHER day off to rest and recuperate from SATURDAY'S housewarming party...

It was a hit- I'm pleased. Had around 15 people show up- I invited about 21. To be honest it was probably the perfect amount. When I throw parties, I get anxious when I can't get around to spend quality time with everyone. I need more patience. That's for sure. How do you all feel when you throw parties? Do you always feel pulled in different directions?

Brady is trying to find a sunspot in the house to suntan in- It's not cold here in Lower Alabama today! It's wamring up- and Spring is around the corner down this way. I hope. I love cold weather and cute wintery clothes, but Spring is Lovely....

I only seemed to "gain" 2 pounds since Saturday- and considering the amount of alcohol and good food consumed- *tsk tsk*- I'm OK with that. Flip cup is not for people watching their weight. ;-) But, hell, it's fun...I am back up on that wagon today, however. I know I'm really unhappy with my body when I don't want to take photos because my fat looks bloated. I love taking photos- but Saturday I tried to avoid them. There were a few "decently" OK ones, I'll share:

This was at the end of the night- and I was the crazo who takes random photos with other peoples camera. Love those people right?
Before the party started
FLIP CUP!!
My Mom and I
Marion and I trying to remain champions at beer pong.

WORKOUT: Going to try and make it to the gym this afternoon. I can't promise myself that, though. I bet that gym is overcrowded today with holidayers. We'll see.

Boring post, yes. More intyeresting stuff later. I'm going to make some breakfast at 10:16 in the morning. Little late, aye?

Not a good day or week, for that matter

So...I ended up working out ONCE this whole week. What the F? I cannot seem to find my motivation and keep it. I tried on my clothes tonight and not a damn thing fit! Again...Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?? Three months ago- shit fit. Now, NOTHING! My problem is, going to work and then at the end of the day, the last thing I want to do is workout. What is the solution to this? Because- there has to be one, and will be one.

Now, I'm going to feel 1,000 times guilty as I drink my beer and stuff my face with food at my own housewarming party this weekend. Lovely.

I don't know what to do. I can't give up. Not when I feel so bad about myself. I just have to keep pushing, right......

The end.

(I'm going to bed. In hopes that I'll grow tired and be able to wake up at 4:45 and hit the gym........I'll keep you posted. If I do it'll be a MIRACLE.)

Lizzie- how do YOU do it? Getting up so early?

My poor pout is pleading for help

Ladies- I have an issue with my flaky skinned lips. Especially during the Winter months. But this is also an all-year thang. I admit- I have an issue with chewing my lips every now and then out of nerves, or licking them (not as much as L.L., but close). I've tried Burts Bees, Pomegrante, which I love, but for me- it's not nourishing enough.
I've also sprung money for the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment (I heart Sephora)- It's definitely more mouisturizing than Burt's, but I'm not a fan of the taste. It leaves a weird taste/feeling in my mouth after I drink or accidentally LICK my lips- it kinda gets "caught" in my throat and chokes me up. Yes. I'm weird.
Which brings me to my original thought......I've heard several good things about Sara Happ The Lip Slip - Lip Balm -With Jojoba Nut Oils. Anyone else tried it? Thoughts? I think I want to try this. (read a lovely review from a blogger, HERE. I was sold.)What is your favorite lip product to keep your dry lips flake free?

Workout: Tuesday was a REST DAY for me. I was just so tired and ill. Ill as in- cranky. All I wanted to do was watch Biggest Loser and Idol- and NOT think. Today will be different. I need to get my ass on that elliptical and burn some lard. Baha!

Eats: Still going good. I contacted my former trainer/still current friend, and asked her why I don't have enough energy tos ustain my cardio workouts anymore. She kinda tweaked my diet and added some broccoli to two of my meals. *sigh*. Sometimes it's hard to eat MORE- sometimes I just don't want to eat- but I know it's SO important. My big cheat day is coming up- SATURDAY! Housewarming PARTY! Lots of good foods to engourge on. (I'm only kidding on the engourge part, guys).

In the morning's I try to read the latest blogs from you guys before work- GingerSnap always has her Outfit Of The Day entry up and I love seeing what she's wearing- Today, I about DIED. Her outfit was awesome. My taste varies- I like super sexy one day, and the next girly and wholesome to the MAX. GingerSnap's outfit struck a chord with me today- it was sexy AND wholesome.

I honestly can't remember the last time I saw knee high stockings worn to work/school/out by anyone (tastefully) since I was in the 7th grade (that's when they made a big comeback. Oh, I had so many colors to go with my little skirts that I, as a 7th grader, probably shouldn't have been wearing. I wasn't a hoochie- Just a little too daring with clothes that year). Does anyone wear this anymore?? I want to wear it! Do you guys think it's too school-girlish? I think it's precious! Check out her outfit: GINGER!

Also: The lovely and beautiful Leigh left me an award on her blog. Thank you so much lady! :-)

Dresses and turkey

Thank you all who chimed in about the dresses- I think I was a little unclear: I wasn't trying to decide between the yellow and the J. Crew dress for the wedding. I'm buying BOTH!! Silly girls ;-) I just couldn't decide between the two colors on the second dress. I think it's gonna be the Mint Green- although online they call it SAGE green....Should this worry me? Hmm. What if it gets here and it's all ugly and poo colored? BAHA!

The yellow- I just hope it fits me OK. if not, it's back to the drawing board. The shoes dilemma still rattles my brain- I don't want to wear black. I just feel that would take it in a different direction from the "vibe" that dress gives off. To me it says: "Hello. I'm a girly-yellow dress. I am spirited and fun and cheery. I am quintessential SPRING. I don't do black. Oh, but wait. I have this weird black SASH crap around my waist!" First thing's first- PURCHASE. I'll keep ya posted. With photos. Hopefully my size will be in stock by the time I go to order it in a few weeks. *CROSS FINGERS*!

Workout: Yesterday I scurried to the gym after work hyped up on Sugar Free Redbull (mistake). I love the energy it gives me for that afternoon slump, but then once I hit the elliptical I go all crazy and shi**. Like a spazzed out rat. Add some Lady Ga-freakin-ga into that mix, from the ipod, and you get......well...something just freaking insane. BUT I had a good 40 minute workout. Came home and watched THE BACHELOR.....

I KNEW it was Rozlyn. I knew it had to be someone who had been given a rose, and let's face it- beautiful Rozlyn puts out that vibe of, "I want what I want, right now,"- and if she can't have Jake all to herself, she'll fill him until she does. Stupid hoebag. She's gorgeous, but the girl has nothing going for her BUT that. Here's what I THINK:

Vienna- So out of place there. Seriously.

Allie- I freaking KNEW from the first episode she would click with him- HELL she'd click with anybody. She's REAL, not a little-miss-perfect, she's beautiful and like jake described her: Warm. LOVE her. I kinda want her to be my BFF- Is that weird? ;-)

I did a bad thing and went to www.realitysteve.com (the guy who was right about Melissa and that other dude breaking up) and read what "happens". I am NOT pleased. Not one bit. I may still keep watching to see if he's right......read at your own risk.

Can you guys believe I weighed 196 in this photo? Better question is: WHY the hell did I think I was FAT here? Good grief. My mind is warped. I had just finished running 3 miles in this photo. Well....jog/run. ;-) Nice face.
Eats: Sunday I make my lunches/dinners for (usually) the next 3-4 days. I tried a new recipe I found in a back issue of my beloved Oxygen Magazine. I heart this magazine over ANY other fitness mag- It caters to my goals and needs- Sexy, svelte and toned. Their recipes are so clean and great to eat. This particular recipe has no name, but I'm gonna call it

Turkey-Zuch Bake

* Cut up Zucchini and place in a baking dish with a little bit of water. Bake at about 350 for 20 minutes.

* In a pan cook up ground turkey, bell peppers, banana peppers and onion- add salsa.

* Add the turkey mixture to the zucchini- top with low-fat feta cheese (this is optional) and bake until you want to. It had no "set" time, so I just baked it until it was golden brown in color.

It's yummy (yes, I said yummy. Ick) and will be my mid-morning snack for the next few days.

Have a great night. That's all I got.

Need your expert fashion opinions ;-)

Outfit advice needed ladies!!

What do you all think of this dress for a beachy-type wedding in Florida, in March? The bride's wedding scheme is tangerine and yellow- her bridesmaids dresses are the orange color, so I wouldn't resemble them. Does this "go" for a beachy wedding? It's not actually ON the beach....What shoes do I wear? That black sash kinda throws me off- what goes with that? I have ideas, but I'm curious to know what you'd pick. ;-) (Go all out and tell me- jewelry, shoes, accesories, etc.)

Anthropologie's (of course) Longing-For-Yellow Dress

Keep in mind I have dark brunette hair and blue eyes- tanned- which one would look GREAT on my coloring? The more I look- the more the mint green looks so fabulous....BUT does it look too bridemaids-ish? I seriously need you guys to vote on this one- I am CONFLICTED!!

Lush Crush: All-natural Face Masks

Hey!- don't think I forgot about my determination to use up my drawer of Lush beauty products. As promised, here's the latest installment of my Lush beauty product crush: The Face Masks!

Maybe one of my favorite items Lush sells are their face masks. They're made with fresh, natural ingredients to help with pesky skin issues. These masks are SO fresh in fact, that they cannot be bought on Lush's online store. Sad, yes. Especially for me, seeing as how the closest Lush is in Hotlanta.

You keep them in your fridge, right next to the cottage cheese and yogurt (that's where mine lives. baha), and toss them when the expiration date says. Well, I haven't. I still have quite a bit left. Granted they aren't SO old, but a little past the recommended throw-away date. Sue me. They still do me wonders. Without further ado- here is my take on the three face masks I own:

Oatifix- I bought this one because of the delicious scent it has! It smells JUST like bananas. The girls in the store I bought from said they even ate a little bit because it smelled so good- LOL! So what did I do? I tasted some. It's fine guys- it's all-natural, except the talc?!? It didn't taste amazing, but it wasn't gag-me horrible. ANYWAY- this is supposed to be for sensitive skin and moisturizes dry skin. I like it OK- the texture is kinda crumbly and like all of these masks, is a bit of a pain to rinse off- Sometimes I'm left with some of the product in my hairline.

Ayesha- Ayesha was my first ever mask purchase. It's for aging skin- I have a complex apprently. I think it does a great job os tightening and making your face look smooth and sweet :-) It says use before a big night out...Yup, I could see that! My face always looks nice and glowy after using this one. It's crumbly like the Oatifix, too- and has a weird texture- kinda like seaweed- and in fact, there's seaweed in the crap! Go me. It smells kinda mentholy to me- which I kinda dig :-)

Cupcake- MY personal, absolute fave!! O-M-G. The name lends a hint as to the smell of this mask. It smells like PURE chocolate. *sigh* I love it so much. I have typically oily skin on my chin and forehead, and semi-larger pores on my cheeks- THIS is a miracle. If you have oily-ish skin (or even if you DON'T!)- RUN, do not walk- and buy this product. Smells A+, ingredients tighten my pores, zaps that oil- creamy texture. I made my Dad jokingly use it, just so I could giggle at his brown face, but after he rinsed it away- His skin looked so good! My Mom was all touching it and saying," Ohh wow. It's so smooth and nice." BAHA!

Here I am donning Ayesha. Could I....BE any hotter? Just wasn't a cupcake night :-( Cupcake nights are usually the week before my "monthly visit" (which is another reason to grab some Cupcake- those pesky pre-period zits or whatever)

Lean Eggs and Ham? YES, Please.

Happy Sunday everyone! The sun was shining brighter this morning (seemed to me), so I thought maybe it wasn't FREEZING out...Lie. It's 25 degrees here in South Alabama still. I'm not complaining really- I enjoy this cold, only until after work when I have to go to the gym. I dislike that.

On Sundays I find myself watching, "Tough Love" and that new crap show about the rich bitchy women called, "Aspen something"? Do any of you watch these?

Oh, I'm addicted. They're just train-wrecks. Although, maybe I need to hit up Tough Love and try to understand why I don't have a boyfriend... Nah, I'll tell you why I don't- because I do NOT settle- and I haven't found the guy I'm supposed to be with- Simple as THAT. For all of you ladies who don't live in a Southern state- you may not realize this (and it's not so bad these days, but years ago...), but it's blasphemy if you're not married or seeing someone exclusively by the time you're in your late 20s- Hell, some girls just go out and find the first guy that's semi-marriable. No thanks.

Fashion Finds: Did I tell you I found those shoes I was searching for? Oh yes- on ebay! The Budding T-Straps from Anthropologie. YAY! Yes, I'll be shelling out some mad money, but for something I've been itching to get- it doesn't bother me. Maybe I need to be more frugal...because I am most definitely NOT. *sigh*

Here are a few other items currently bookmarked:

J. Crew Silk Taffeta Bow Monde Dress
Very reminiscent of Anthropologie's Blushing Faille Dress on top, witht he bow and all. I think I like this one better! It'd be so flattering on, judging by the photo- and I love this icy grey color. I love ALL the colors that come in this dress, but which one do I choose? There's the mint green- which I ADORE, and the Tropical Aqua? HELLO SPRING! Go look and tell me which color you think is the most gorgeous!! This is high on my wishlist.

J. Crew Silk Chiffon Taryn Dress
So flowy and cute- and I've been leaning toward the girly-cute here lately. This color would look gorgeous next to my blue eyes. Where would I wear it? A party. When? I don't know, but I need this dress, ladies. I love the empire waist style.

I just find this to be so smart. I love the color combo and this could be dressed up or down. It's on sale currently- so they'll probably be all sold out by the time I go to buy one. :(

Eats: Last night, for dinner I made this recipe I found in my Oxygen magazine "ABS Edition". It was awesome! Simple and delicious. I kinda screwed up, however, by not having a big muffin tin- so mine were more like baby ham cups, and some of the egg mixture got in the bottom- They still popped out fine, just with some egg on the bottom. Here's the recipe:

Lean Eggs & ham (cute name, right?)

2 whole eggs
6 egg whites
1/2 cup 1% milk
1/3 cup chopped chives
8 slices deli ham (8oz)
1/2 cup shredded low-fat cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 350. In a bowl, scramble eggs, egg whites, and milk. Add chives and stir to combine.

Spray muffin tins with cooking spray. Line each one with a piece of ham and then divide egg mixture evenly among the cups (you should have 8 muffin cups total). Place in oven 15-20 minutes. Top with cheese and cook for 5 more minutes.

Low in carb and high in protein. Mmm Hmmm.

Also, made Lizzy's shake recipe from a few posts ago. It was AWESOME! Seriously! GO make it!! I used my strawberry protein shake and it was honestly, like a strawberry milkshake! I added too much ice and water so it was slightly watery, but fantastic to MEEE! I'll probably make it again today.

My housewarming party is this Saturday! Finally! It looks like I may end up with about 17 or so people here. That's not too many and not too little. PERFECT! My house isn't HUGE, so I don't want everyone crammed up each others butts. I plan on having a beer pong table in the garage, because that's how we roll. For the Finger foods, here's what I have so far:

Spinach and Artochoke Dip
Buffalo Chicken Dip
Salami and Cheeses w/ crackers
Mini quiche assortment
Ribs (yes, My dad is the grill MASTER and is making us ribs and chicken wings!!)
Meatballs
A tomato/avocado salad (Its refreshing and delicious!)

Is this enough? Adequate? What do y'all think? I'm thinking it's plenty- especially with the ribs and all those dips and such. PLEASE, give me any recipe ideas you may have. Thanks so much!
What to do today....OH- Around 2ish, I have to go around the loop of my neighborhood and go into this open house. My mother has some obsession with homes, and wanted to see the inside of this one- she isn't able to come look, so I have to go over and take PHOTOS of the inside and pretend I'm looking at it for my Mother, who's interested in purchasing- uhm, she's not. She's just nosey. Baha!

Workout: Haven't taken my measurements yet- I'll do that next Saturday. Just for the record, my scale is down 8 total pounds as of this morning, but I'm still only saying I lost 3. Mind games. It's all. About. The mind games. ;-)

I plan on making Sunday's my "easy" day of P90X's Yoga or P90X Stretch- depending on how tough of a workout week I had. P90X Yoga is NO freaking JOKE. I wouldn't consider it "real" relaxing-type Yoga AT ALL. It's hardcore- For me at least- and I'm flexible
I love that all of you are coming to read my blog and give me encouragement- it means so much- So glad I've had the chance to "meet" all of you. If you leave a comment on my blog, I always reply back in the comments as well- so check back for my responses, or get those notifications of a "follow-up comment posted."

Have a great day, Y'all!

Ladies---The scale has moved...

I promise I don't scale worship. I just couldn't help myself this week- and so glad I decided to cheat and look. I'm down 3 pounds! I say 3, only because I know some of that is water and other crap- in actuality the scale says I'm 6 pounds lights...but I like to be realistic. So we'll just say 3 :-) I'll take it!

It's amazing what changing your diet can do. I've only worked out 3 times this week- which is piss-poor, but diet. Diet is OH so important my ladies. I've ate clean ALL week. I give credit to that.

After my workout today I'm trying Lizzy's protein shake recipe. She claims it tastes like a milkshake. Ahhh yes.

In-Mazing Protein Milkshake

Ice

1 scoop protein powder

1/2 TBSP Peanut Butter

1/4 cup egg whites(you can use pasteurized ones, or if you aren’t afraid of salmonella, use that ;-) )

Add a splash of water to help with blending

Blend ‘er up. and enjoy!

My plan today is to hit the gym for some cardio and legs and come home and just piddle around the house. Nothing exciting. No expected packages to come in the mail today- maybe next week. I went kinda crazy online shopping this week. What else is new?

Geez. Saturday already. This weekend is flying by. Damn it.

What's everyone's weekend plans??

My Weight Timeline

I created this blog originally for inspiration and motivation to attain my fitness goals- I love working out and love to hear about what others eat and do for their workouts.

All my life I've heard that infamous line..."You have SUCH a pretty face.".....Well, what about the rest of me? Yes, it can give a girl a complex at times.  Us damn over thinkers...

Here's a timeline of my up and down weight through the years...

My Lightest - 160 lbs in 2004- and I STILL thought I was fat here. That was because my stomach was still pudgy, but could you imagine me losing fat everywhere else while trying to burn that extra stomach flab, too? Eek. Good golly. I'd give my left arm to look like that now! I also used to model around this time and thought I was big. Can you say stupid?? Look at my waist in that blue sweater? I think it looks tiny!! (Please look over the weird collar on the sweater- makes me neckless. BAH!)

My Heaviest - 200 lbs in 2007: I was in college and had a semester where all I did was drink beer when I went out. Beer and fitness do not mix. Had a great time though! lol

180 lbs in 2005 (HAPPY HALLOWEEN!): My happy medium. I think I look curvy and sexy here. baha May just be the Alice costume.

198 lbs in mid-2009 (Notice I'm about what I weighed at my "heaviest" up there ^. It's amazing what weights can do for your overall body composition. Nuff said.)
